After a city tour Nov. 15, law partners and spouses Bob and Barbara Downs will lead an evening walk to a few of Rome's treasures: the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Nov. 16 will be a leisure day for individual sightseeing or optional tours of the Vatican City museums, the Roman Forum, Circus Maximus and the Colosseum. The group will leave Rome on Nov. 17 and pass the Bay of Naples and Pompeii en route to Naples and two nights at Lloyd's Baia Hotel in Vietri-sul-Mare. Highlights include Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast drive. On Nov. 19, the itinerary calls for travel through Campania to Calabria and a short ferry ride from Villa San Giovanni to Sicily. The destination on Nov. 23, after a visit to a winery, will be the cultural capital of Palermo, with its mixture of Moorish, Norman and Spanish styles. A cultural tour on Nov. 24 includes nearby Monreale. A farewell dinner will follow before the flight home on Friday, Nov. 25. "We hope you will join us," Downs said. The off-season trip promises "a perfect time, a perfect place, and moderate weather." The all-inclusive rate of $2,589 per person, double occupancy, ($3,189 single and $2,559 triple) includes round-trip air travel, land travel, ferry to Sicily, all overnight accommodations, seven dinners, 10 buffet breakfasts, and assistance from a tour manager. ISBA leaders write for IICLE publications Bloomington attorney Timothy W. Kelly, a member of the ISBA Tort Law Section Council, is the author of the 2005 Quick Guide to "Laying Foundations for Introducing Evidence," a publication of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Kelly also is a general editor of IICLE's "Estate, Business and Non-Personal Injury Actions" and "Tort Actions," 2002 editions with combined 2005 supplement, along with 5th District Appellate Justice Richard P.
