CARY RESIDENT RE-ELECTED TO BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF ILLINOIS STATE BAR ASSOCIATION

Attorney H. Case Ellis, a resident of Cary, has been re-elected to the Board of Governors of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA). The 25-member board directs the operations and activities of the statewide organization.

Ellis is in private practice in Crystal Lake where he concentrates in civil litigation, and also is a private and court appointed mediator.

An ISBA Assembly member for several years, he has been active on numerous committees, most recently serving as board liaison of the Insurance Programs & Services Committee, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Corporation, Securities & Business Law Section Councils. A frequent lecturer, Ellis is a member of the Lake, Winnebago and McHenry County Bar Associations. Last month, he was honored by the McHenry County Bar Association with the "Distinguished Service Award" for his contributions to Court Mediation.

Ellis received a B.S. degree from Purdue University in 1972 and his J.D. with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1976.

The 30,000-member Illinois State Bar Association, with offices in Springfield and Chicago, provides professional services to Illinois lawyers, and education and services to the public.
