Locallo has moved up the organizational ladder of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), becoming  president-elect of the organization on Saturday, June 26, at the ISBA’s 134th Annual Meeting at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, in St. Louis, Missouri.

The International Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA) announced that the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) received the Best Program Award for Professional Excellence for ISBA’s innovative New Admittee Virtual Coffeehouse: Basic Skills and More program, the top award in the Best Program category. ACLEA will formally present the award to the ISBA at the ACLEA Annual Meeting in New York City on Tuesday, July 27, 2010.

The Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) has elected Chicago attorney Paula Hudson Holderman as third vice president, and six members to its 25-member Board of Governors. Holderman will move up the organizational ladder to become ISBA president in three years.

Lawyer volunteers will answer phones at four locations around the state from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Any Illinois resident can call 1-800-252-8908, toll-free, or a local number in some areas for a free phone consultation with a lawyer.
