WESTCHESTER ATTORNEY APPOINTED TO BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF ILLINOIS STATE BAR ASSOCIATION
Mauro Glorioso, of Westchester, has been selected by the Board of Governors of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) for a one-year term on the board. He fills the vacancy of Joseph G. Bisceglia, who was recently elected ISBA third vice president.
The 25-member board directs the operations and activities of the 30,000-member statewide organization.
Glorioso, a lawyer in private practice, has been an ISBA Assembly member since 1998, during which time he was elected twice to chair the Assembly Agenda & Program Committee. He has been a member of the Future of the Courts Implementation and Amicus Curiae Policy special committees, as well as the Judicial Evaluations Committee. He is a member of the ISBA Real Estate Law Section Council and a Fellow of the Illinois Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the ISBA.
Active in the legal community, Glorioso is an officer in the Justinian Society of Lawyers and will become its president in the year 2008. He is also a member of the American, Chicago and Cook County bar associations, Hispanic Lawyers of Illinois, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, West Suburban Bar, Women's Bar Association of Illinois, and National Association of Administrative Law Judges.
Glorioso received his B.A. degree from Saint Xavier College in Chicago and his J.D. from John Marshall Law School.
The Illinois State Bar Association, with offices in Springfield and Chicago, provides professional services to Illinois lawyers, and education and services to the public.
