50th Annual Lincoln Award Writing Contest

Sponsored by and for members of the Young Lawyers Division. See the contest rules and an entry form to compete for a share of the $3,500 prize money.

Scope Statement

The Board of Governors approved in 1980 a change in the name of the Young Lawyers Section to Young Lawyers Division. The division now consists of all members under the age of 36 on the first day of the new fiscal year and members who have been admitted to practice less than five years. Members who meet these qualifications are automatically members of the division. Here's how to get the most out of your YLD membership.

The Young Lawyers Division Council

The division governing body, or council, consists of the chair, vice-chair and secretary as ex officio members and 16 additional members who have their principal law offices within the Association elective areas which they represent.
