Sex trafficking aired April 19 in River Forest

Several court, law enforcement and hu--manitarian entities are co-sponsors of a symposium on Child Sex Trafficking that will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, in the Dominican University Priory Campus auditorium in River Forest.

Program features include morning speakers, panel discussions and a video presentation, afternoon case scenario workshops, and tool kits. The principal sponsor is the PROMISE Task Force (Partnership to Rescue our Minors from Sexual Exploitation).

Other participants include the Cook County Circuit Court Juvenile Justice and Child Protection Division, Cook County state's attorney, public defender and sheriff, Chicago Police Department, Illinois attorney general, and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Also the Illinois Criminal Justice Infor-mation Authority, Chicago Crime Commission, ABA Latin American Law Initiative, Illinois Departments of Human Services and Children and Family Services, Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, Salvation Army, and Heartland Alliance.
