Women to learn trial skills The ISBA Committee on Minority and Women Participation is a sponsor of a two-part Trial Skills Training Program that will be conducted Tuesday, April 25, and Saturday, May 13, at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse, Chicago. Other sponsors are the Women's Bar Association, the Black Women Lawyers Association and the CBA Alliance for Women. Part one, from 4 to 6 p.m. April 25, will include demonstrations and lectures by experienced women litigators on direct and cross examination, evidentiary foundations, and making and meeting objections. Part two, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon May 13, will be an intensive workshop in which participants will conduct direct and cross examinations before federal and state court judges.
