Big boost in ISBA seminars, attendance The numbers of ISBA Law Ed seminars and attendance at them are projected to nearly double during fiscal 2006-07 over the previous year. The Board of Governors heard this positive report on March 30 from Frank Ariano, chair of the Committee on Continuing Legal Education, and CLE staff director Jeanne Heaton. They traced the state bar association's response to CLE needs of members since minimum standards were adopted in September 2005 and the ISBA presentations were accredited in November 2006. The goal of 65 seminar titles that an ISBA task force presented to the board for approval in January 2006 will be exceeded. By the end of June, the committee will have presented 78 programs and 23 repeats, for a total of 101. In the previous year, 46 titles and 12 repeats totaled 58 presentations. Projected attendance through June is 7,068 compared with 3,964 in the previous year, and 225 percent over the average of three prior years.
