It's not too late to nominate colleagues for awards that will be presented Friday, June 22, at a luncheon during the ISBA Annual Meeting at The Abbey on Lake Geneva. But hurry! The approaching deadlines for remaining award programs follow.

One ISBA member under age 36 from Cook County and one from outside Cook County will be named ISBA Young Lawyers of the Year. The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 20. To obtain a form, send an e-mail to jsosin@isba.org.

Candidates will be judged on achievements in litigation, advocacy or counseling; advancements to the profession and Illinois bar; public service and pro bono activities.

The deadline is Friday, April 27, for the Community Leadership Award presented by the ISBA Committee on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.

The award honors individuals who have worked to eliminate discrimination and foster understanding of legal issues involving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons.
