Paula Holderman appointed to O'Brien board vacancy
Chicago attorney Paula Hudson Holder-man, director of professional development at Winston & Strawn, was appointed to the ISBA Board of Governors during its meeting July 21 in Chicago. She fills the vacancy created by the election of John G. O'Brien of Arlington Heights as third vice president. The board also elected Michele M. Jochner of Chicago as secretary, and John E. Thies of Urbana as treasurer. Elected to the Committee on Scope and Correlation, chaired by Second Vice President Jack C. Carey, are Jochner, Thies, Richard D. Felice, Mark D. Hassakis, John G. Locallo, Andrea M. Schleifer and Naomi H. Schuster. Third Vice President O'Brien and past president Robert K. Downs serve on the committee automatically. Foundation board filled The Board of Governors appointed several members of the Illinois Bar Foundation Board of Directors on July 21. Two incumbents, ISBA past president Todd A. Smith of Chicago in the 1st District and April G. Troemper of Springfield in the 4th District, were re-appointed to their seats. The board appointed David F. Rolewick of Wheaton to the 2nd District seat formerly held by Michael J. Scalzo, and Thomas Q. Keefe Jr. of Swansea to the 5th District seat formerly held by Katherine Tillery. Lynn C. Cavallo of St. Charles was appointed to succeed Vincent F. Cornelius of Wheaton, who has been elected vice president of the Bar Foundation. George F. Mahoney of Joliet was appointed to succeed Elizabeth L. Jensen of Peoria, who has been elected secretary of the Fellows of the Bar Foundation. ISBA President Irene F. Bahr made two at-large appointments to the foundation board: James J. Morici and John G. O'Brien. Trust Fund slate OK'd At the request of the Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois, the Board of Governors has reappointed ISBA past president Thomas A. Clancy to another three-year term on the LTF board. The governors also appointed Joseph McDonnell of Belleville to the LTF board vacancy of M. Ann Hatch, who has served the maximum number of terms. |
