ABA president is speaker at forum on death penalty

The 21st anniversary of the American Bar Association's Death Penalty Representation Project will be observed during a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Hotel Inter-Continental, Chicago.

Incoming ABA President William H. Neukom of Seattle will provide remarks, and project volunteers will be recognized. A member of the Dean's Council at the Stanford University Law School, Neukom serves on the boards of the Pacific Council on International Policy and the Policy Consensus Center.

Other speakers are Rob Warden, executive director of the Center on Wrongful Convictions at the Northwestern University School of Law, and Gary Gauger, who was sentenced to death row and later released.
