Ory heads IEJ Foundation Wheaton attorney Christine M. Ory was elected the fourth president of the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation (IEJF) during its annual meeting on June 5. A past chair of the ISBA Task Force on Unauthorized Practice of Law and past president of the DuPage County Bar Association, Ory serves on the Illinois Bar Foundation advisory committee. A founding member of the Equal Justice Foundation board, she succeeds Victor P. Henderson, president of the Chicago Bar Association. Other new officers are Vice President Carolyn H. Clift of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Treasurer Daniel Broadhurst of Huron Consulting Group, and Secretary Karen Hasara, former mayor of Springfield. Newly elected to three-year terms on the IEJF board are Dana I. Green, general counsel of the Walgreen Co., and John C. Sciaccotta of Shefsky & Froehlich, Chicago. Two ISBA past presidents who serve on the board are Leonard F. Amari of Amari & Locallo, Chicago, and Timothy L. Bertschy of Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, Peoria. Other board members include William L. Broom, James B. Buda, Margaret A. Daley, Claire A. Manning, Carla R. Michelotti, Michael A. Pope and Joseph J. Torres. |
