ISBA past president Timothy Eaton of Chicago has joined Shefsky & Froelich after 19 years as a partner in Ungaretti & Harris. He is also a past president of the Appellate Lawyers Association.

Eaton serves on the Board of Regents of the ISBA Academy of Illinois Lawyers and the Special Committee on Image Advertising. He is past chair of the Com-mittee on Legislation and the Appellate Advocacy Committee of the ABA Section of Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice.

After seven years with the Buffalo Grove law firm of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit, Kerry T. Bartell and Rebecca L. Zweifel have been named principals.

Bartell concentrates in condominium, homeowners, townhome and community association law and represents several associations. Zweifel practices in civil and commercial litigation with emphasis on covenant and rule enforcement matters, and teaches condominium and homeowners law at Joliet Junior College.

Robert J. Henry has joined the Chicago office of Scopelitis, Garvin, Light & Hanson as a partner in transportation contracts, regulatory matters and business transactions.

Henry was vice president and associate general counsel of SIRVA Inc., formed in 1999 by combining Allied Van Lines and North American Van Lines, and has been vice president and general counsel of Allied for 11 years.

Thomas Robert Osterberger has joined the Joliet office of Dykema Gossett as of counsel with the Real Estate Practice Group. He was the principal in the Osterberger Law Firm, Joliet.

Mark E. Rust has been elected managing partner of the Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg. Elected to the law firm's management committee are Bradley B. Falkof and Dennis M. McWilliams of Chicago.

J. Phillip Steinman has joined Lathrop & Gage as an associate in its St. Louis office. He was with the Burroughs law firm in Edwardsville.

Levenfeld Perlstein, Chicago and Northfield, has added several associates, including Charles Goetz, Mark Biesiada, Michelle Krause, Jason Neumark, Amy Mahone, James Levine and Brian Pleviak in the Real Estate Practice Group.

Others are Adam Rome, Keara Roethke and James Martignon in the Litigation Practice Group, and Rebecca Edwards and Marc Fineman in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group.

Ann D. Bjerke has joined the estate and income tax planning practice at Levin & Schroeder, Chicago. She was with the University of Chicago Office of Gift Planning and previously with Winston & Strawn.

Amy R. Jonker has joined Messer & Stilp, Chicago, as an associate in corporate litigation. A former law clerk in the Cook County Public Defender's Felony Trial Division, she has a master's degree in theological studies in addition to a law degree.

Donald P. Jonker has joined the Mokena office of Rathbun, Cservenyak & Kozol as an associate in civil litigation and defense of attorney discipline matters. He was litigation counsel for the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.

Stanton P. Miller, Joan M. Eagle and Michael J. Legamaro have joined Schwartz, Cooper, Greenberger & Krauss, Chicago, as principals.

Miller (business and private wealth, and intellectual property) and Eagle (labor and employment) were with Michael Best & Friedrich. Legamaro (business and private wealth) was with Barack Ferrazzano.

The three new principals were inadvertently referred to as associates in the November issue of the ISBA Bar News.

Marc Gugliuzza (estate planning, tax and probate) and Linda Garrett (real estate) have joined Spain, Spain & Varnet, Chicago, as associates.

Gugliuzza, former branch manager and vice president of TD Waterhouse Investor Services Corp., is a certified financial planner who has a master's degree in business administration. Garrett was a residential closer with the Zelle Title Co. in Springfield.
