Commercial Law convention set

The Commercial Law League of American will conduct its first joint Midwest/National Convention from Thursday to Sunday, April 19-22, at the Westin Michigan Avenue Hotel, Chicago.

The CLLA Midwest Region will hold its 77th annual spring meeting in conjunction with the parent organization's yearly convention, which usually takes place during the summer.

The four-day meeting will include nominating debates and election of officers, a business session, educational programs, a black-tie dinner dance, and presentation of the President's Cup.

Among objectives of the Chicago-based CLLA are to elevate the standard and improve the practice of commercial law, and to promote uniformity of legislation in matters affecting the practice. For more information, call (312) 781-2000 or access www.clla.org.

Special local events are being planned by Midwest Region vice chair Christine Hickey, (317) 860-2905, and past chair Randy Slovin, (513) 683-9000.
