Members to get discounts for ABA Techshow

Judge Shira A. Scheindlin of U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York will give the keynote address on the first day of the ABA Techshow next month at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel.

Judge Sheindlin, who issued a series of opinions in Zubulake v. UBS Warburg, will speak at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22, immediately after the 12 noon luncheon and expo break.

The Zubulake opinions have been referred to collectively as the “gold standard” of electronic discovery, and have been cited with approval in courts throughout the country.

ISBA members may obtain discounts of $100 to attend the three-day legal technology conference. For details, access www.techshow.com and choose Program Promoter Registration, using code PP719. See announcement on page 20.

Techshow is sponsored by the ABA Section of Law Practice Management. A special Solo and Small Firm Day rate is offered on Friday, March 23, with co-sponsorship by the ABA General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Division.

More than 60 educational programs will be presented in six tracks on Thursday and Friday, and five tracks on Saturday. A concurrent expo will feature products and services of about 100 vendors.
