The Judicial Council for the 7th Circuit will conduct a memorial ceremony for the late judge Jesse E. Eschbach at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in the 25th floor ceremonial courtroom at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse, Chicago.

Judge Eschbach, who died Oct. 25, served on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana from 1962 to 1981, the last seven years as chief judge. He was appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit in 1981.
