With the ISBA set to launch a significant and ongoing effort to improve the image of lawyers, we've given an attractive new design to www.illinoislawyerfinder.com, our online lawyer directory and consumer information source.

Among other things, ISBA's image advertising campaign will point prospective clients to the IllinoisLawyerFinder Web site. In preparation for what we hope will be a spike in traffic, we've made it an even more attractive, easy-to-navigate destination. The redesign is one more reason to sign up and get your name in front of Internet users who, for example, type “Illinois lawyer” into the Google search engine.

How do you sign up for the IllinoisLawyer- Finder? Two ways: use the online form on the lawyerfinder Web site (follow the “Lawyers: join the directory” link on the bottom left) or call Mary Kinsley in the legal department at 800/252-8908.

A basic listing is free to any ISBA member who asks for one and meets the lawyerfinder requirements (you must carry professional liability insurance and permit the ISBA to check your ARDC status). Those who opt for the $50/year premium membership get an enhanced directory listing plus automatic membership in the ISBA's telephone lawyer referral service.
