Intellectual property litigator Joseph N. Welch II has been appointed managing partner of Pattishall, McAuliffe, Newbury, Hilliard & Geraldson, Chicago. A member of the firm since 1984, he was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to the Trademark Public Advisory Committee on Patent and Trademark Office management issues.
