Local government bar convenes

The Illinois Institute for Local Government Law will conduct its 14th annual conference, along with a Municipal Prosecutors' Group seminar, on Monday, Feb. 19, at the Chicago Athletic Association.

Based at the Northern Illinois University Center for Governmental Studies, the ILGL was established in 1991 to coordinate and promote professional education, information exchange and interaction among local government attorneys, and to ensure the highest level of professional representation.

Conference topics include torts, civil rights, international codes, legal ethics, photo red light enforcement, liquor cases and economic development incentives.

Fees for ILGL members to attend the conference are $75 prior to Feb. 10 and $100 after Feb. 10. The non-member fee is $250, which includes a $200 payment for membership.
