Blood donors are needed Thursday, Jan. 25, to participate in a competition between the ISBA Young Lawyers Division, chaired by Ryan M. Henderson, and young members of Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hinshaw & Culbertson on the third floor at 222 N. LaSalle St. Appointments may be made by calling Jennifer Groszek at (312) 541-0022.

Blood donations will help maintain an adequate supply at 35 hospitals served by Heartland Blood Centers in a 12-county region of Illinois and Indiana.

January is National Donor Month. Each individual who donates blood will receive a “Warm a Heart” mug stuffed with three gourmet coffee blends.

Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds, be in good general health and free from symptoms of colds, flu and allergies. Prospects who have traveled outside the United States during the past 12 months should call (800) 7TOGIVE to determine eligibility.
