Center appoints new director Chicago attorney Michael Thomas Roth has been named executive director of the Pro Bono Center for Disability Law. He succeeds Jann Dragovich-Stulberg, who resigned July 1 after 20 years of service. A graduate of The John Marshall Law School who was admitted to the Illinois bar last year, Roth practiced with Spain, Spain & Varnet in estate planning for individuals with special needs. He also volunteered with Aspire of Illinois and Park-Lawn, which provide lifetime support and vocational opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. “Michael brings enormous energy, experience and new ideas to the table,” Dragovich-Stulberg said, adding her pride in CDEL's achievements in providing legal services to the low-income elderly and clients with disabilities. In honor of Dragovich-Stulberg's leadership, board member Thomas A. Demetrio of Corboy & Demetrio made a sponsorship gift of $25,000 toward CDEL's summer benefit, which was held July 11 in Chicago. |
