An evening seminar on “Rainmaking: Becoming a Trusted Advisor to Your Clients” will be presented next month by the Illinois State Bar Association and Legalstaff.com.
Scheduled from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, in the Drake Hotel, Chicago, the program will explore ways to build a thriving law practice, with emphasis on setting the right legal fees.
The seminar will be conducted by attorney Gideon Grunfeld, a management and marketing consultant who is founder and president of Successful Career Strategies Inc.
His presentation includes the three best ways to build trust with existing clients, the two most avoidable reasons that good lawyers lose clients, and six rules for building a rewarding practice.
Grunfeld will touch on alternatives to advertising, identifying the best potential clients, aspects of lawyering that become financial dead-ends, important steps to increasing fees, and complying with ethical and professional requirements.
Pre-registration fees of $95 for ISBA members and $125 for non-member attorneys include comprehensive handouts. Walk-in fees are $115 for ISBA members and $145 for others.
