The total of 824 anticipated admittees to the Illinois bar that was published on page 5 in the May issue was based on preliminary estimates of eligible candidates who passed the bar examination.

The total actually admitted May 10 was 769, after approval by the Committee on Character and Fitness, raising the total number of registered Illinois attorneys to about 84,000.
