Clancy sits on law alumni board

ISBA past president Thomas A. Clancy of Clancy & Stevens, Chicago, has been elected to the Indiana University Law Alumni Board. He is a 1973 graduate of the I.U. School of Law.

President of the state bar association in 1991-92, Clancy received a Board of Governors Award in 1990 for his leadership on the committee that explored formation of a captive professional liability insurance carrier.

He was elected president in 1992 of the ISBA Insurance Risk Retention Group, predecessor of the current ISBA Mutual Insurance Co.

Board president of the Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services (CARPLS) from 1996 to 1998, he received an Award of Merit in 1996 from the Cook County Bar Association.

Clancy is vice chair of the Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois and a member of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions in Civil Cases.
