Adrienne Albrecht will receive Tradition of Excellence honor The past year has been a rewarding one for Adrienne W. Albrecht of Kankakee. Last June, she received an ISBA Board of Governors Award, and next month she will be honored as the 2007 recipient of the General Practice Tradition of Excellence Award. In between, the former partner in Sacks, Albrecht & Gubbins was appointed to the 21st Circuit bench. A member of the ISBA Family Law Section Council and the Committee on Legislation for several years, Albrecht serves on the Special Committee on Electronic Research Services for Members. A past chair of the Committee on Legal Technology, she has been a tireless contributor of personal and professional time as a presenter in continuing legal education seminars, including the Solo and Small Firm Conference. Albrecht has been lauded by the ISBA Legislation Department for her exemplary efforts in tracking, analyzing and improving House and Senate proposals that affect the practice of law in Illinois. She has summarized opinions of the Family Law Section Council on pending bills and in the past was readily available to testify before General Assembly committees on issues that arise among provisions of bills. An active member of the Kankakee County Bar Association and its Society of Women in Law, she is a resource for the Kankakee Community College Committee on Paralegal/Legal Assistant Studies Program. |
