ABA delegate election Dec. 9 Friday, Nov. 17, is the deadline for interested ISBA members to file nominating petitions for two at-large positions as delegates to the American Bar Association House of Delegates. The ISBA Assembly will elect one from Cook County and one from the area outside Cook County, during its meeting Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel. The incumbents are Keith E. Fruehling of Urbana, a member of the ISBA Board of Governors, and ISBA past president Cheryl Niro of Chicago. Each is eligible for re-election. Delegates who are elected Dec. 9 will serve two-year terms beginning in June 2007, and will join the ISBA delegation to the ABA annual meeting in San Francisco in August 2007. Nominees must be members of the ISBA in good standing from the appropriate area. The nominations must be supported in writing by at least 20 ISBA members in good standing from the appropriate area.
