Riley Courtroom to be improved The Northern Illinois University College of Law plans to renovate and rededicate its Francis X. Riley Courtroom. Co-chairs of the effort are Chicago attorneys Cheryl I. Niro, a past president of the ISBA, and Louis G. Apostol. Named in honor of 93-year-old emeritus professor Francis Riley, a Laureate of the ISBA Academy of Illinois Lawyers, the facility is on the lower level of Swen Parson Hall in DeKalb. For as little as $2,000, a donor may have his or her name engraved on a nameplate and mounted on a seat in the courtroom. Several other levels of giving are available, with appropriate recognition and amenities. They are: Advocate Level ($5,000), Gavel Level ($10,000), and Chambers Level ($25,000), which includes a private skybox reception during a varsity football game. Gavel and Chambers Level participants will be invited to a donor dinner.
