Disaster relief fund growing! Thanks to the generosity of ISBA members throughout the state, the Illinois Bar Foundation hurricane disaster relief fund has met with great success. More than $23,000 has been received so far, including some large donations. The ISBA/IBF initiative will help rebuild the severely affected legal infrastructure of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, where law firms and court facilities are being relocated. Client files and judicial records were lost, and law students have been admitted in other states. Contributions should be made out to Illinois Bar Foundation Katrina Legal Relief Fund.
