National group meets in Chicago

The National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) will hold its inaugural annual meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel, in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Defense Research Institute.

Founded in 2001 with sponsorship by several corporations, NAMWOLF is based in Milwaukee. The only Illinois law firm member listed in its roster is Weldon-Linne & Vogt, Chicago.

The Chicago program will begin with a business meeting at 9 a.m. A panel discussion on law firm membership and corporate and public entity partnership will take place during the 11:30 a.m. luncheon, at which a Diversity Initiative Achievement Award will be presented.

A Law Firm Expo at 1:30 p.m. will in-clude networking sessions for in-house counsel and NAMWOLF members. The annual meeting will conclude with a 5 p.m. reception
