Lawyers learn to make rain without pain

The ISBA has scheduled a repeat presentation of its popular seminar on rainmaking. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Hilton Suites, Chicago.

The seminar, “Making Rain Without The Pain: How to Turbocharge Your Practice and Take Control of Your Time,” will focus on problems all legal professionals face, and how to successfully overcome them.

Lawyers who attend will learn critical concepts for enhancing relationships with clients, and how to craft identities that will attract potential clients, exceed their expectations and cement loyalties.

Other concepts include using alternatives to billable hours while maximizing revenues, ways that legal professionals can control workflow to free up more time, and enhancing credibility through modern media, such as Web sites and blogs.

The speaker is Gideon Grunfeld, an attorney, management and marketing consultant, and president and founder of Successful Career Strategies.

A a member of the executive committee of the Solo, Small Firm and Law Practice Management Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, Grunfeld serves on the California State Bar's executive committee on law practice management.

He has helped countless attorneys to manage their practices more effectively and to make more money with less effort.

He has spoken to boutique transactional and litigation law firms, solo practitioners, individual partners, law school alumni groups and bar associations across the country.

The attendance fees are $395 for ISBA members and $425 for non-members. Sign up at www.isba.org/rainmaker, or contact the ISBA Career Center at (866) 935-5902.
