The KCBA board has commissioned a Virginia publisher to put together a history book on the practice of law in Kane County. The author is Bill Beck of the Lakeside Writer's Group in Indianapolis.

In addition to working with bar association officials, Beck has requested present and former members to share information and memorabilia that may add to the compilation. Articles provided to the KCBA office will be returned.

Photographs of individual Kane County Bar members will be snapped in December and January for a huge composite for future display.

A commemorative luncheon on Monday, Feb. 11, is being planned, with a keynote speaker to be announced. The Kane County Bar Foundation Gala in March will have an anniversary theme.
