Scholar addresses LRE conclave Constitutional scholar and journalist Linda R. Monk, a graduate of Harvard Law School, will give the keynote address for the 2007 Illinois Law-Related Education Conference of the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago. Monk's presentation will take place during the annual program, which is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at McDonald's Hamburger University in Oak Brook. She also will sign copies of her book, “The Words We Live By: Your Annotated Guide to the Constitution.” The Edward J. Lewis II Award, named in memory of a former Jenner & Block partner who was chair of the foundation's Lawyer Advisory Board, will be given to an outstanding elementary school teacher.
