The Chicago Bar Association will hold a gala reception in honor of President Kevin P. Durkin and Young Lawyers Section chair Megan Healy McClung from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, in the Grand Ballroom of Navy Pier.

The CBA Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a 7 p.m. performance of Beethoven's Choral Symphony No. 9.

David Katz is music director, and Rebecca Patterson is chorus director. Guest soloists are soprano Kathleen van de Graaf, alto Jan Bickel, tenor William Chamberlain and baritone Peter van de Graaf.
