St. Ignatius College Prep has inaugurated a law society to foster camaraderie and raise more than $100,000 for a tuition assistance endowment during the next five years.

The founders are Thomas A. Brabec, John M. Coleman, Kevin Conway, Daniel G. Pikarski and Curtrice White Scott. Members include ISBA President-elect Joseph G. Bisceglia and Assembly members Russell W. Hartigan and Robert T. Oleszkiewicz.

Earlier this year, Chicago trial attorney Kevin J. Conway of Cooney & Conway received the 2006 Award of Excellence in the Field of Law during the 25th annual St. Ignatius law luncheon.

Joy V. Cunningham, a past president of the Chicago Bar Association, was given an honorary alumna diploma during the event.
