Outing supports cancer research ISBA past president Ralph A. Gabric, who died of cancer in November 2002, will be remembered this month by participants in a benefit golf outing for Hinsdale's Wellness House. Gabric served on the not-for-profit Wellness House board for several years, helped countless victims and their families deal with the disease, and was a generous benefactor. The Ralph Gabric golf outing will take place Monday, Sept. 25, at Glen Oak Country Club, Glen Ellyn. Proceeds will support programs that assist cancer victims of all ages at no cost. The event will begin with a 12 noon shotgun start and end with a buffet reception and program conducted by Chicago attorney Lester Munson, a writer for Sports Illustrated. In addition to golfing for individuals or foursomes, there are opportunities for hole sponsorships and raffle contributions. Call (630) 980-5078 for details.
