Credit reports abet compliance with MCLE rule MCLE Credit Midterm Reports have been distributed to more than 7,000 ISBA members who earned them between Jan. 1, 2006, and June 30, 2007. The reports provide total hours of attendance at Law Ed programs, and by participation on ISBA committees and section councils as allowed by MCLE rules. Included are PMCLE credits, as approved by the Commission on Professionalism. Every effort has been made to include all ISBA-earned MCLE credits in each Midterm Report. Any member who believes his or her report is inaccurate should contact ISBA with details via e-mail to credit-tracking@isba.org.MCLE rules require attorneys to maintain their own Certificates of Attendance and other proof of MCLE compliance for three years after the end of the relevant two-year reporting period. At the end of the reporting period, attorneys must report whether they have complied with the MCLE rules, have not complied, or were exempt, using a form provided by the MCLE Board. The first reporting deadline for lawyers whose last names begin with the letters A through M is June 30, 2008, and for lawyers whose last names begin with N through Z, the deadline is June 30, 2009. Up to 10 MCLE credits earned between Jan. 1, 2006 and the beginning of an attorney's reporting period can be carried into the first two-year reporting period, except professional responsibility credits.
