Just when the summer bar golf outing schedule seemed to be winding down, two additional events have extended it to the autumnal equinox and beyond.

On Thursday, Sept. 20, members of the Ogle County and Lee County Bar Associations will meet at the Rochelle Country Club for an afternoon of golfing and an evening of conviviality and steak dinner.

Tee times will begin at 1 p.m. Call Dave Tess at (815) 562-8754 to register. The costs, modest in comparison with city and suburban outings, are $75 for the entire event, $50 for golf only, and $25 for just the dinner.

On Wednesday, Sept. 26, the West Suburban Bar Association will conduct its outing at White Pines Golf Club in Bensenville. President Gus Santana will take reservations at (708) 836-1111 at $100 per person.

Santana also will sponsor a driving range interlude from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., including instructions, and Heritage Title Co. will provide box lunches.

Tee times begin at 12 noon on both the east and west courses. A 5:30 p.m. reception will precede dinner and prize awards under the full Harvest Moon.
