Dist. Ct. did not err in granting defendant-employer’s motion for summary judgment in Title VII action alleging that defendant terminated plaintiff from her tenured professor position on account of her gender and in retaliation for having made internal discrimination complaint. Defendant explained that plaintiff’s termination was based on its perception that she had not published enough professional papers and had not secured enough grant money to support her research projects, and Dist. Ct. could properly grant defendant’s summary judgment motion where plaintiff failed to counter said explanation with specific citations to the record that would support her claim that she was victim of discrimination. Ct. further noted that result would be same even though plaintiff’s appellate counsel made more appropriate citations to record.
