Service of Process
Returns of service clearly established that copies of summons were mailed individually to each of the defendant. Process server submitted two separate sworn affidavits attesting that he attained substitute service on defendants, which are prima facie evidence that he did so, as act of mailing was a matter within his own knowledge, and affidavits can be set aside only by clear and satisfactory evidence.(HOFFMAN and ROCHFORD, concurring.)
