Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court
Whistleblower Act
Plaintiff OB-GYN physician sued county under Whistleblower Act for terminating her after she refused to treat male patients or to attend training to treat male patients with sexually transmitted diseases, and she protested that 10 days of training would be inadequate. failed to show that Cook County asked her to perform an illegal activity, and failed to set forth a clearly mandated public policy to support her claim of retaliatory discharge. Thus, court properly granted summary judgment for Defendant. (QUINN and SIMON, concurring.)
