Hearsay testimony of Plaintiff driver's prior consistent statement to his wife, that he hit had been hit by the Defendant driver, was relevant to disprove defense theory of recent fabrication and was invited by Defendant. Defense attempted to prove case by proving that Plaintiff had lied about his prior injuries to his doctors, so he must have lied about accident. Court thus properly allowed prior consistent statement. (EPSTEIN and PUCINSKI, concurring.)
