Medical Studies Act
Physician filed complaint for declaratory and injunctive relief, alleging violations of Medical Studies Act and Health Care Professional Credentials Data Collection Act, after hospital withdrew its offer of employment. Medical Studies Act is designed to benefit the general public, rather than individual physicians, through higher quality health care. Neither Medical Studies Act nor Credentials Act gives physician implied private right of action for alleged violation of confidentiality provisions of those Acts. (HUDSON and BIRKETT, concurring.)
