There are substantial new developments under the ADA and the ADA Amendments Act affecting the way employers manage their workforces. This annual program, led by a senior official of the EEOC, will provide you with a comprehensive update of case law and administrative developments under the ADA and the Amendments Act. Among other topics, this program will provide a critical analysis of new case law addressing workplace qualification standards and essential functions, reasonable accommodation and the interactive process, and the very sensitive area of disability-related inquiries and medical examinations. This program will also discuss the relationship of the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act to the ADA. The program is designed for employee benefits attorneys, labor & employment practitioners and worker’s compensation lawyers with intermediate to advanced levels of practice.

  • The relationship of the Genetic Information Nondisccrimination Act of 2008 to the ADA

Christopher Kuczynski, United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Washington, D.C.

Christopher Kuczynski is Assistant Legal Counsel and Director of the Americans With Disabilities Act Policy Division at the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington, D.C. He supervises the development of policy guidance interpreting Title I of the ADA and advises EEOC’s field offices, Office of General Counsel, and chair and commissioners on ADA investigations and litigation. Earlier in his career, he served as Associate Director for the White House Domestic Policy Council and as a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice. Mr. Kuczynski received his B.A. from Villanova University, his J.D. from Temple Law School, and his LL.M. from the Yale Law School.
