Although the art of lawyering is inherently adversarial, it is imperative that attorneys remain civil within the legal profession. This full-day seminar will give you the wisdom and insight you need to make strong ethical and professional decisions throughout the coming year. Topics include: educating the attorney in college; judicial expectations; how continuing legal education has changed in the past five years; the current state of civility and professionalism; the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission’s role in the legal arena; maintaining civility in the courtroom and addressing problems outside it; and much more! The program concludes with an informative panel discussion that examines the past, present, and future of civility in the legal profession.
