Joint Task Force on Limited Scope Legal Representation
The Task Force is a joint effort by the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Judges Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. Its mission is:
- to examine issues related to implementing the rule on limited scope representation including, but not limited to, its impact on the availability of affordable legal services to the public, the administration of justice, and the business and ethics of the practice of law;
- to collect and consider the views of the practicing bar and the judiciary;
- to report its findings;
- to recommend or support, if warranted, revisions to existing court and professional rules to provide guidance to the profession and facilitate use of limited scope legal representation.
