Speaker:
Terence F. MacCarthy, Executive Director, Federal Defender Program, Chicago
Terence MacCarthy is one of the most sought after CLE presenters in the nation and was named “Defender of the Century” by the Federal Defenders Association. In fact, he has been named among the top four presenters in the country and has lectured in all 50 states and over a dozen foreign countries. He has been described as “engaging, animated, roguish, and unusually intelligent,” as well as “constitutionally incapable of boring anybody for long.” His teaching style involves nuts and bolts rather than theory and concept and combines substance with an engaging style.
MacCarthy has been a popular speaker for the ISBA. The last two Law Ed presentations were a great success and the program this year will be no different. A past attendee said the presentation was, “One of the best ‘how-to’ and ‘what-to-do’ programs I have attended in all of my legal career. Well done. This guy is a master!”
