Join us in small-group interactive sessions facilitated by two of Illinois top attorneys in the professional responsibility field. Attendees will discuss the challenges they face in the practice of law, and brainstorm positive responses to those challenges. Participants will come away with a personal action plan to implement in their personal and professional lives. Our speakers will provide insight on ethical and professionalism boundaries and guide the discussion to provide practical solutions for the most pressing issues faced by the individuals in the group.

Cheryl Niro, former Executive Director of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, has practiced law for over 25 years.  Ms. Niro has extensive experience organizing and developing significant law related programs, projects and organizations, founded the National Center for Conflict Resolution Education, served the Illinois Supreme Court as the Executive Director of the Commission on the Bicentennial of the US Constitution, was the second woman elected to serve as President of the Illinois State Bar Association (1999-2000) in the 125 year history of that organization, and is a nationally recognized mediator of complex disputes.

Mary Robinson, former Administrator of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, provides consulting and expert witness services on ethics and professional responsibility issues. She actively participates in a number of associations and chairs the planning committee for the ABA National Conference on Professional Responsibility. Ms. Robinson has worked to strengthen her cooperative efforts with the Lawyers Assistance Program, which conferred upon her the 2006 Carol H. Rolewick Award. In June 2007, the John Marshall Law School Corporate Law Association awarded her the Francis D. Morrissey Lifetime Achievement Award.
