Many changes have occurred in the past two years that have substantially affected the administrative agencies that oversee and regulate areas of employment and labor law. This program provides an update on those changes. Topics include: the enforcement responsibilities of administrative agencies; U.S. Department of Labor wage and hourly investigations; Family Medical Leave Act regulation changes; recent developments at Occupational Safety & Health Administration; responding to OSHA complaints and investigations; developments at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, including I-9 audits; Illinois Department of Employment Security; Veterans Affairs rules, regulations, and litigations; and the recent developments at the National Labor Relations Board. The program is designed for a broad audience—from general practitioners to experienced employment lawyers, including corporate counsel, Certified Public Accountants, and Human Resource professionals who oversee policy, respond to complaints, advise on audits, and interact with administrative agencies.
