BELLEVILLE LAWYER RE-ELECTED TO BOARD OF GOVERNORS
OF ILLINOIS STATE BAR ASSOCIATION
Attorney David C. Nelson, of Belleville, has been re-elected to the Board of Governors of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) in the "under age 37" age group. The 25-member board directs the operations and activities of the statewide organization.
Nelson practices law with his brother, Bob Nelson, at Nelson & Nelson, Attorneys at Law, P.C. Their law practice focuses on personal injury litigation.
In 2000, he was appointed by the ISBA Board of Governors to fill a vacancy in the ISBA Assembly. He was elected to the Board of Governors in 2001.
Nelson received the ISBA Board of Governor's award in 1997 for authoring amicus briefs setting forth the ISBA's position on two cases. He currently serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations in the great St. Louis metropolitan area.
The 30,000-member Illinois State Bar Association, with offices in Springfield and Chicago, provides professional services to Illinois lawyers, and education and services to the public.
