Lincoln Leadership Prize To Be Presented To First Woman Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court in Springfield on October 28

(Springfield, IL, October 12, 2006) -- Hon. Sandra Day O'Connor (retired), the first woman to serve as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, will receive the Lincoln Leadership Prize at the first annual Lincoln Leadership Prize Dinner to be held on Saturday evening, October 28, at the Lincoln Presidential Museum, 212 N. Sixth St., in Springfield, Illinois.

Co-sponsored by The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation and the Illinois State Bar Association, the black-tie event will begin with a VIP cocktail reception at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Presidential Library followed by dinner at the museum at 7:30 p.m.

onorary co-chairpersons of the event are Illinois' first woman Supreme Court Justice, Mary Ann G. McMorrow (retired), and two sitting Illinois Supreme Court Justices, Rita B. Garman and Anne M. Burke.

The cost to attend the dinner is $250 per person or $2,500 for a table of ten. The VIP cocktail reception is an additional $250 per person, and guests are required to attend the dinner.
